DBT is an evidence-based treatment originally developed to treat people with chronic suicide ideation and self-injury behavior, over time DBT has been demonstrated to be highly effective in treating a wide range of issues, including depression, substance abuse, PTSD, and eating disorders. DBT is known as the gold standard treatment for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
Clients participating in DBT meet weekly for individual DBT therapy and also participate in weekly DBT Skills Group as well as contact their therapist for phone coaching between sessions.
